On July 14, Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, conducted an inspection tour of China Salt Lake in Xining, Qinghai, and extended greetings to its staff. Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of China Minmetals, accompanied the inspection.

Chen Dexin inspected the headquarters of China Salt Lake and Qinghai Huixin Sales Company, and chaired an inspection forum. He listened to a briefing on the overall progress of China Salt Lake since its official establishment and operation. He fully affirmed the achievements made by the Party Committee of China Salt Lake and its subsidiaries in advancing the "100‑Day Integration & Renewal Initiative" and the Amoeba management model, promoting transformation and upgrading, improving quality and efficiency, balancing development and risk control, and strengthening Party building work. He highly commended the pragmatic work style of all staff in forging ahead in unity and overcoming difficulties, and encouraged the team to further unite efforts and accelerate progress, ensuring consistent mindset, aligned goals, coordinated actions and unified measures, so as to advance the development of the world-class salt lake industrial base with high quality.

Chen Dexin emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches regarding Qinghai, especially the guiding spirit of his key instructions on building a world-class salt lake industrial base. The team must fully understand, benchmark against and resolutely carry out these requirements, consistently arm themselves with the Party’s innovative theories to guide daily work, and translate learning outcomes into tangible actions for industrial development. Efforts shall continue to comprehensively enforce strict Party governance and consolidate the responsibility for Party supervision. Focusing on key areas and links including project investment and bidding procurement, the development of integrity-compliant projects shall run through the whole process of project design, review, construction and operation. Regular integrity education shall be carried out for all staff to strengthen the awareness of compliant and clean conduct, and foster a sound and upright working environment. The correct view of performance must be firmly established and practiced. Learning and reflection shall run through the whole learning and education process. Targeted rectification shall be carried out for special governance and centralized rectification issues based on facts, with a closed-loop mechanism for problem resolution and effect assessment to ensure thorough and effective rectification. A high-caliber cadre and talent team shall be built. In line with the existing industrial layout and future development needs, talent development shall precisely match demands for industrial upgrading, sci-tech innovation and reform, with a focus on cultivating international interdisciplinary professionals. China Salt Lake shall be developed into a key base for talent training within China Minmetals.

To accelerate the advancement of the integrated magnesium metal project, China Minmetals held a launch ceremony for the pilot line project of the Special 8·22 Campaign on July 13. Participating entities including China Salt Lake, Qinghai Yanhu Industry Co., Ltd., Qinghai Huixin, China ENFI Engineering Corporation, Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, MCC Changtian and Minmetals Securities attended the ceremony and received R&D task orders.
