On July 9, the 32nd China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair grandly opened in Lanzhou. Wang Guangqian, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Executive Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, delivered an address and announced the opening. Hu Changsheng, Secretary of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Gansu Provincial People’s Congress, gave a welcoming speech. Ren Zhenhe, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Governor of Gansu Province, presided over the ceremony. Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director and General Manager of China Minmetals, attended the opening ceremony as an invited guest and spoke at the Forum on Integrated Development between Gansu Province and Central State-owned Enterprises.

In his opening address, Wang Guangqian noted that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has made three inspection tours to Gansu, charting the course for the province’s development. The CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and the Gansu Provincial Government have thoroughly implemented the guiding spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions during his inspections of Gansu, boosted development momentum through higher-standard opening-up and fostered a better business environment. He expressed the hope that entrepreneurs would take this Lanzhou Fair as a new starting point, align Longyuan craftsmanship with global markets, and jointly build a new framework for open development.

In his welcoming speech, Hu Changsheng stated that themed “New Opportunities for Pragmatic Cooperation, New Landscape for Open Development”, this year’s Lanzhou Fair aims to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on high-quality Belt and Road Initiative cooperation and expand all-round, multi-field and in-depth cooperation. He called on all parties to deepen exchanges and sincere collaboration and embark on a new journey of mutual empowerment and win-win progress.

In his speech at the Forum on Integrated Development between Gansu Province and Central State-owned Enterprises, Zhu Kebing said that Gansu is a major province rich in resources, materials and smelting capacity, endowed with unique advantages and enormous development potential.
