On the morning of July 8, the National Science and Technology Award Conference, the General Assembly of Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the 11th National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology were held in Beijing. China Minmetals received 3 major achievements honored with National Science & Technology Awards, including 1 First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award, and 1 Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
The project "Development and Application of Key Technologies for Accurate Stability Evaluation of Engineering Rock Mass Slopes," jointly declared by China ENFI Engineering Corporation, won the First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. The project "In-Situ Observation Technologies and Equipment for Engineering Geological Environment in Deep-Sea Mineral Development," jointly submitted by Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd., won the Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award. The project "Key Technologies and Equipment for Transparent Perception and Intelligent Prevention and Control of Mine Water Hazard Hidden Dangers," jointly submitted by Changsha Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd., won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
To date, China Minmetals has won a cumulative total of 206 National Science & Technology Awards, including 28 National Technological Invention Awards and 178 National Science and Technology Progress Awards. This award represents a vivid practice of China Minmetals thoroughly implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses and key instructions on scientific and technological innovation.
