China Minmetals Corporation 2026-04-28
On April 28, Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, held a symposium and conducted an on-site work review in Guangzhou with a number of leadership team members and employee representatives of MCC Ramu. Xu Jiqing, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager at China Minmetals, attended the symposium.
Chen Dexin listened carefully to MCC Ramu’s work report, which gave him a full picture of the company’s production and operations, technological innovation, and deepening reforms. He praised the achievements in project operation management, core technology breakthroughs, and comprehensive resource utilization. He called on all staff to adopt a sound approach to performance evaluation, stay strategically focused, continue their proud traditions, and keep enhancing the enterprise’s core functions and competitiveness—working to position MCC Ramu as a flagship and model for international business operations.
Chen Dexin stressed that the mineral resources strategy shall be implemented as the top priority without wavering. Efforts shall focus on maximizing resource value from operating mines while steadily enhancing process performance; intensifying exploration and prospecting within current mining rights; and actively studying and advancing resource mergers and acquisitions. We shall stay fully committed to technological innovation—leveraging it to improve technical indicators, boost quality and efficiency, diversify our metal output, and strengthen, extend, and complement industrial chains. We shall strike a firm balance between development and safety, strictly implement workplace safety responsibilities at every level, enhance risk prevention and mitigation, ensure effective emergency response, take proactive steps to address natural disasters, and resolutely defend the non‑negotiable bottom lines for safety and environmental protection. Building the team shall continue to be a top priority, with enhancing political competence as the key objective—developing a robust leadership team and strengthening middle management. We need to strike a balance between immediate and future needs in order to cultivate a talent pool that is both globally oriented and well‑rounded.
Relevant department heads from China Minmetals headquarters participated in the research.
