China Minmetals Corporation 2026-03-13
On March 3, coinciding with the Lantern Festival, Chen Dexin, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, conducted a research and inspection tour at the MCC Eco-Environmental Liangxiang Wastewater Treatment Plant. He reviewed the facility's operations, technological innovation, and the progress of Project Phase III. Chairman Chen also performed a safety and environmental audit and extended festive greetings to the frontline staff.
During his tour of key areas including the bioreactors, ultrafiltration workshops, and the Eco-Environmental Education Center, Chen was briefed on the "Six-in-One" integrated energy-saving demonstration project. He inspected the application of proprietary technologies such as Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactors (MABR) and reviewed achievements in high-grade reclaimed water and sludge resource utilization. After observing live data demonstrations and examining processed samples, he highly commended the circular economy outcomes, noting the successful transformation of "wastewater into clean streams and sludge into valuable resources."
Chen emphasized the importance of aligning with Xi Jinping’s Thought on Ecological Civilization and his directives for central state-owned enterprises (SOEs). He urged the team to implement the goals of the China Minmetals Annual Work Conference, steadfastly upholding the mission to ensure urban stability and public well-being while setting industry benchmarks for high-quality development through active corporate social responsibility.
He called for a commitment to innovation-driven growth, specifically expanding application scenarios for "first-set" major technical equipment. He also encouraged exploring mechanisms such as project co-investment and equity incentives to further stimulate the initiative and creativity of grassroots researchers.
Regarding the upcoming National Two Sessions, Chen stressed the critical need for safety and stability. He advocated for "bottom-line thinking," requiring the highest standards in identifying and mitigating risks. He insisted on strictly adhering to environmental "red lines" to ensure consistent and compliant emissions.
Efforts must be focused on the "Party Building Enhancement Year" to ensure that grassroots Party organizations deliver substantive rather than just formal impact. By integrating the "Party Building Plus" model into safety, innovation, and smart operations, the company can translate its political strengths into core competitive advantages for water security and green development.
Senior executives from relevant departments of China Minmetals’ headquarters accompanied the visit.
