On the afternoon of January 31, China Minmetals and Hunan Province held a working meeting in Changsha, Hunan. Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director, and General Manager, together with Shen Xiaoming, Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, and Mao Weiming, Deputy Secretary and Governor, attended the meeting and jointly unveiled the National Technological Innovation Center for Efficient Development of Strategic Rare Mineral Resources, which is led by China Minmetals. Wu Guiying, Standing Committee Member of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Changsha Municipal Party Committee; Yu Hongsheng, Vice Governor; Wang Jiezhi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of China Minmetals; and Wang Xingquan, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice General Manager, attended the activity.

Shen Xiaoming and Mao Weiming, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and Government, welcomed the visit of Chen Dexin, Zhu Kebing, and their delegation, and thanked China Minmetals for its long-standing support for Hunan's development. Shen Xiaoming stated that the transformation and development of China Minmetals is a model of leap-forward development for central SOEs. Hunan and China Minmetals have a solid foundation for cooperation. It is hoped that this meeting will serve as a new starting point to promote the cooperation between the two sides toward higher levels and broader fields, achieve more pragmatic results, and jointly make greater contributions to the overall development of the country.

Chen Dexin and Zhu Kebing thanked the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Government for their long-standing care and support for the operating development of China Minmetals. Chen Dexin stated that Hunan Province is the province where China Minmetals has the most strategic layouts, the most complete industrial sectors, and the most complete industrial chains in China, and it is also one of the provinces with the longest history of cooperation. Especially since the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement on February 28 last year, the cooperation between the two sides has achieved positive progress and outstanding results. 

Following the meeting, both parties jointly unveiled the plaques for the National Technology Innovation Center for Efficient Development of Strategic Rare Metal Minerals, Minmetals Hunan Metal Minerals Co., Ltd., and Minmetals National Innovation Center Technology (Hunan) Co., Ltd.
