On January 29, China Minmetals and China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing (CUMTB) held a working meeting. Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Zhu Kebing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director, and General Manager, together with Han Shangfeng, Party Secretary of CUMTB, and Liu Bo, President and Deputy Party Secretary, attended the meeting and exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation. Wang Xingquan, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice General Manager of China Minmetals, and Cui Ximin and Wang Wensheng, Standing Committee Members of the Party Committee and Vice Presidents of CUMTB, attended the meeting.

Chen Dexin and Zhu Kebing welcomed the visit of Han Shangfeng, Liu Bo, and their delegation, expressing gratitude for CUMTB's long-standing support for China Minmetals. Chen Dexin stated that China Minmetals has always shouldered its original mission of "serving and strengthening the country through mining," firmly established the "Great Mining Perspective," and adhered to the "concentration on core business, alignment of industries, and consolidation of resources." It continuously enhances its core competitiveness in "integrated high-level development across the entire metal mining industry chain" and has formed six major business sectors: metal mining, metallurgical construction, technology industry, trade and logistics, financial capital, and real estate development, and is accelerating the building of a world-class metal and mineral enterprise group with global competitiveness. The advantageous disciplines of CUMTB are highly compatible with the main responsibilities and core businesses of China Minmetals. The cooperation between the two sides is closely aligned with national strategic needs. In recent years, a comprehensive and multi-level cooperative relationship has been established, with a series of achievements in fields such as mineral development and ecological environment. He expressed hope that both sides would further leverage their respective advantages, innovate cooperation ideas, and solidify the foundation, broaden the scope, and enhance the level of cooperation in areas such as technological innovation and talent cultivation, creating a new model for enterprise-university cooperation.

Han Shangfeng and Liu Bo thanked China Minmetals for its long-standing trust and support for CUMTB and introduced the university's overall situation and strengths. Han Shangfeng stated that he hopes both sides, based on their previous good cooperation, would take this meeting as an opportunity to work together in the same direction, further leverage the advantageous resources of the university and the enterprise, promote the building of technological innovation platforms and the cultivation of high-end talents, and provide strong support for the enterprise's high-quality development.

Prior to the talks, the two sides jointly visited the China Minmetals Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievement Exhibition.
