On the eve of the Spring Festival, Chen Dexin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Minmetals, on behalf of the Party Leadership Group, visited and extended greetings on January 27 to Yu Runcang, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Senior Consultant Expert of China ENFI, and Zhao Xiangan, a veteran Party member of China Minmetals. He thanked them for their long-standing contributions to the reform, development, and technological innovation of China Minmetals and sent them New Year blessings.

During his visit to the two veteran comrades, Yu Runcang and Zhao Xiangan, Chen Dexin cordially inquired about their health and living conditions, and introduced the operating results achieved by China Minmetals in 2025 as well as the work plans for the coming period. Chen Dexin stated that 2025 was a key year for China Minmetals to grasp the development situation of the "superposition of three periods," shoulder the mission and responsibility of a central state-owned enterprise, and achieve an all-round rise. The Party Leadership Group of China Minmetals led Party organizations at all levels to take firm steps, stay grounded, and work with practical efforts. With the determination and courage to "leave footprints on stone and marks on iron," they completed key tasks of deepening rectification and consolidating expansion, achieving a historic turning point in the enterprise's development. Through systematic planning and phased advancement in system building, they accelerated core actions for quality improvement, efficiency enhancement, transformation, and upgrading, achieving a series of breakthroughs in high-quality development. With a sense of mission to "seize the hour and seize the day," they successfully grasped the important opportunities of policy superposition and momentum-driven growth, achieving a leap-forward enhancement in resource guarantee capabilities. 2026 is the opening year of the "15th Five-Year Plan." China Minmetals will take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its guide, unswervingly uphold the ambition of serving the country through mining and the responsibility of strengthening the country through mining, accelerate the building of a world-class metal and mineral enterprise group with global competitiveness, and make greater contributions to Chinese-style modernization.

Chen Dexin pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping has issued important instructions on the work of retired officials on many occasions, fully reflecting the Party Central Committee's respect and care for the vast number of retired officials and its earnest expectations for those working in this field.
