On January 16, during the 2026 Annual Work Conference, Chen Dexin, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, and Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and General Manager, visited and extended greetings to representatives of National Labor Models, "Great Country Craftsmen," and Chief Scientists of China Minmetals. Wang Xingquan and Cheng Yong, members of the Party Leadership Group and Vice General Managers of China Minmetals, accompanied the visit.

Chen Dexin and his delegation spoke cordially with 22 labor models and advanced representatives, including Zeng Bin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Scientist of China Minmetals. He thanked them for their long-term contributions to the reform and development of China Minmetals, inquired about their health and well-being, and extended Chinese New Year blessings.

Chen Dexin noted that in 2025, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, China Minmetals achieved remarkable results. All employees forged ahead with determination and hard work, with labor models and advanced representatives playing leading roles, providing strong support for the successful conclusion of China Minmetals' 14th Five-Year Plan. 2026 is the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and a critical year for China Minmetals to focus on its original mission, assume core responsibilities, and stand firm as a pillar of the nation. Faced with a complex internal and external environment, we must follow General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions on central enterprise work as our fundamental guide. We will adhere to the strategic positioning of being the "national team for resource security and the main force for new services," accelerate the creation of the "One Core, Two Chains, One Support" industrial system, continuously enhance the core function of "ensuring national metal mineral resource supply and security," and continuously improve the core competitiveness of "high-level integrated development of the entire metal mining industry chain." It is hoped that labor models and advanced representatives will continue to exert the power of role models, persist in innovation and initiative, and strive for even better results in the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan.
