On January 9, China Minmetals held its first Production Safety Committee meeting of 2026. Chen Dexin, Party Secretary, Chairman, and Director of the Production Safety Committee of China Minmetals, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhu Kebing, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, General Manager, and Deputy Director of the Production Safety Committee, along with other members of the leadership team, attended the meeting.

The meeting conveyed and studied the important expositions and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on production safety, listened to the summary of China Minmetals' 2025 production safety work, and researched and deployed key production safety tasks for the first quarter of 2026.

The meeting pointed out that the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on central enterprise work should be deeply studied and implemented. Development and safety should be coordinated to effectively prevent and defuse risks, continuously consolidating the foundation for the enterprise's safe development. It is essential to earnestly fulfill the "dual responsibility for one post" in production safety. Efforts should be focused on strategic planning, providing support and guarantee in areas such as "technology-driven safety" and "intelligent-assisted safety," and further strengthening the production safety management and control capabilities of overseas enterprises. Style of work should be earnestly strengthened. Following the requirements of "implementing with no compromise, with swiftness, with pragmatism, and with courage and competence," a step-by-step implementation mechanism should be formed. The construction of the safety management personnel team should be strengthened, with organizational care, publicity, and training implemented to forge China Minmetals' "Safety Iron Army."

The meeting emphasized that the end of the year and the beginning of the next are periods of high accident frequency. All management lines must always keep safety management a high priority, formulating targeted and specific measures to ensure that "not a moment of relaxation is allowed." Comprehensive safety inspections should be strengthened in light of seasonal and quarterly characteristics such as extreme weather, low temperatures and freezing, high personnel mobility, and frequent meetings and activities. Duty shifts on holidays should be maintained, and preparations for safety prevention work during the National "Two Sessions" should be made in advance to effectively safeguard the high-quality development of China Minmetals.
