On December 16, Chen Dexin, Party Group Secretary and Chairman of China Minmetals, met with visiting Tang Peihong, Secretary of the Pingliang Municipal Party Committee of Gansu Province, and held discussions on deepening pragmatic cooperation. Wang Xingquan, leader of China Minmetals, and Liu Guojun, Gu Xiaodong, leaders of Pingliang City, attended the meeting.

Chen Dexin welcomed Tang Peihong and his delegation. He stated that in recent years, closely focusing on the responsibility of ensuring the supply and security of national metal mineral resources, China Minmetals has successfully acquired the Khumaga Copper Mine in Botswana, jointly established China Salt Lake with Qinghai Province, and won the bid for the prospecting rights of Huahonggou Iron Mine in Liaoning Province, among other achievements. Consequently, the enterprise's core functions have been continuously enhanced, its core competitiveness has been steadily strengthened, and the advantages of the integrated development of the entire metal mining industry chain have been further consolidated. Under the guidance of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between China Minmetals and Gansu Province, all cooperation initiatives between China Minmetals and Pingliang City have been accelerated, progressed smoothly and yielded positive results. Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China Minmetals is committed to leveraging its industrial and technological strengths to achieve compatibility and complementarity with Pingliang’s resource advantages from the perspective of strategic cooperation. It is urged to further deepen and advance bilateral cooperation in fields such as mineral development, resource utilization, and technological research, so as to better facilitate the high-level integrated development between the enterprise and the local government.

Tang Peihong thanked China Minmetals for its long-term positive contributions to the economic and social development of Pingliang. He noted that Pingliang boasts a sound ecological environment and abundant mineral resources, and has a solid foundation for cooperation and broad prospects with China Minmetals. He expressed the hope that both parties will continue to strengthen cooperation and connection in fields such as mineral resources, industrial development, and technological R&D, and make every effort to promote pragmatic cooperation to achieve positive results.
