On April 20, Mr. Guo Wenqing, China Minmetals' President and Deputy Party Group Secretary, inspected work safety and epidemic containment progress at CHAOYANG ONE Project of Minmetals Land Limited and HONOUR MANSION Project of MCC Real Estate.

Mr. Guo had cordial talks with the front-line officials and employees of the two projects, inspected the construction progress on the spot and learned about the overall development and operation ideas, design features, construction progress, work safety and epidemic containment development of the projects in detail. Based on what he has learned, he put forward four requirements for related work:

First, we must improve ideological understanding and effectively enhance political consciousness. To prepare for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we need to thoroughly study and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on work safety and epidemic containment, and fully understand the significant impacts of the current work safety and epidemic containment situation on China Minmetals' business development. Besides, we must define responsibilities at all levels and maintain a state of combat readiness so as to create a safe and stable environment for the success of the 20th National Congress of the CPC.

Second, we must attach great importance to work safety, and implement it in a strict, practical and detailed manner. We need to always keep in mind the earnest instruction of General Secretary Xi Jinping for "putting people and life first", and use this as our core value and pursuit to 100% ensure that no production is allowed until safety is guaranteed. We must also inspect item by item against the 15 Important Measures for Work Safety by the Work Safety Committee under State Council to ensure practice of these measures and strict implementation of inspections and to build a safety line for our production and operation.

Third, we must perform well in epidemic containment tasks, and adhere to the dynamic zero-COVID policy. We must resolutely implement the general strategy of "preventing imported infections and domestic flare-ups" and the general policy of "dynamic zero-COVID". To this end, we must fully perform the responsibility for epidemic prevention and control in accordance with the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and formulate effective emergency response plans. In addition, to serve the overall reform, development and stability of Beijing, we must firm up our belief of winning the war against the epidemic and refrain from relaxing our vigilance or the idea of winning by a fluke. We must adhere to the standards and the thinking applied in wartime and never stop our fighting until a complete victory.

Fourth, we must continue to build higher quality projects and better corporate brand image. We must follow the main keynote of the regulatory policy that housing is for living in, not for speculation, and focus on the people's needs for a better life. We must, with the spirit of craftsmanship, strengthen R&D and innovation, comprehensively improve product competitiveness, and fulfill the social responsibility of central state-owned enterprises in real estate.

Mr. Guo also emphasized that it was necessary to further enhance internal collaborative management in the engineering construction, supervision, third-party testing, component distribution & supply, etc. and to fully use the advantages of collaboration so as to reduce transaction costs, control project risks, improve work efficiency, and seize the construction window period. He also said that construction quality, quantity and progress must be guaranteed to deliver projects with the best design and highest quality. Besides, he pointed out that during the period of strict control during the epidemic, the project team must further enrich the spare time life of front-line employees, and make more efforts on Party history learning and education, patriotic theme education, and health knowledge popularization, so as to enhance employees' sense of identity, gain and happiness.
