Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan met with Chairman and CEO of AXA Group, Henri de Castries on July 12 at Ziguangge (Hall of Purple Lights) of Zhongnanhai (site of China's State Council), to discuss Sino-French trade relations, financial cooperation and other issues of common interest. President Zhou Zhongshu of China Minmetals was present at the meeting.
During the meeting, Chairman Henri de Castries of AXA Group reported the business performance of AXA-Minmetals Assurance Limited to Vice Premier Wang Qishan. In particular, he pointed out that AXA Group had established a long-term friendly cooperation with Minmetals which strongly supported AXA Group's operation in China, and he himself became a friend of President Zhou.
