On February 10, Zhou Zhongshu, Secretary of Party Leadership and President of China Minmetals, as well as Zhang Yuanrong and Feng Guiquan, Members of Party Leadership and Senior Vice Presidents of the Corporation, met with the delegation led by Liu Mingzhong, Chairman of Xinxing Pipes Group, in China Minmetals headquarters. President Zhou extended warm welcome to Chairman Liu, and made an introduction to the business performance of China Minmetals in 2009. In particular, President Zhou introduced in detail China Minmetals' acquisition of the core assets of Australian OZ Minerals and the restructuring of Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Luzhong Metallurgy & Mining Group Corporation and Hunan Nonferrous Metals Corporation Limited. Chairman Liu Mingzhong congratulated on the achievements China Minmetals had made in aspects of management innovation, strategic transformation and "going out" strategy, and introduced in detail the operations of Xinxing Pipes Group in 2009. Both sides also communicated and exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation.
